Kettlebell Long Cycle
“Learn about the kettlebell long cycle and what the goal for the event is”

October 23rd 2010, one of the greatest days of my life. It was like an epic sandwich. A thick cut of epic between two slices of epicness. “Boom!” The objective was to get a group of people together to lift kettlebells for an hour without stopping, to raise money for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. The event was held at Center Street Gym in El Segundo CA. People from all over made donations, dozens came to watch, and 20 brave men and women put all of their guts and souls into the lift. Not a single person gave up. All 20 picked the weights up at 11am. All 20 set the weights down at 12pm, it was unreal. After I caught my breath, I looked up. Everyone in the gym was sharing victorious embraces with one another.
Nowhere in the world had a group of that many people continuously lifted weights for that period of time before, ever. 9 time world champion, 12 time champion of Russia, Sergey Rachinskiy set a world record by completing 915 one arm long cycle repetitions with a 24kg kettlebell. It was one of the best days of my life. We had all worked as one unit to give a helping hand to children in need, It was epic.

After the success of the first charity event, we decided to hold one every year. On October 22nd 2011, from 10am to 11am, the second annual One Hour Long Cycle will be held in beautiful Costa Mesa CA at Innovative Results, one of the greatest gyms in the country. This year we are making an effort to raise as much as we can to aid in the healing of the Japanese communities recently battered by natural disasters. We recommend a donation of 75 dollars or whatever is comfortable. Come join us, give it all you’ve got, help to rebuild lives.
Thank you,
Jason Dolby
