Why Children’s Hospital Los Angeles?
In 1998 Jason Dolby had the amazing opportunity to be a camp counselor for Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. Jason was a counselor and also taught archery at the camp. The camp was structured to bring true joy to children battling cancer. It was located in the beautiful mountains of Idyllwild California.
All counselors had 2 days of training at the camp before starting our 7 day adventure with the awesome kids. The counselors got to drive down the mountain to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles pick up the little campers and ride the bus with them back up the mountain to Camp Ronald McDonald. That week was one of the best experiences of Jason’s entire life! The kids were so much fun to laugh with, hike with, eat messy pancakes with…. they were awesome!
It was then that Jason knew that someday he had to again lend a helping hand to the hospital that works so hard for such great children.
